1 person hospitalized after pickup trucks collide on Hwy. 403 in Ancaster

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a serious collision involving two pickup trucks on Highway 403 in Ancaster.

• The incident took place in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Highway 6 before 6 a.m. ET on May 23.
• OPP posted photos of the scene on X (formerly Twitter) — showing a white pickup truck and a black pickup truck with a trailer in the centre ditch. Both vehicles were severely damaged from the collision.
• Officials said one person was taken to hospital with minor injuries. It wasn’t disclosed if they were a driver or a passenger.
• The highway was briefly closed for the investigation and clean up.

OPP said the operator of the white pickup truck has been charged with careless driving.
