1 person hospitalized after pickup trucks collide on Hwy. 403 in Ancaster

Incident details
Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a serious collision involving two pickup trucks on Highway 403 in Ancaster.
- The incident took place in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Highway 6 before 6 a.m. ET on May 23.
- OPP posted photos of the scene on X (formerly Twitter) — showing a white pickup truck and a black pickup truck with a trailer in the centre ditch. Both vehicles were severely damaged from the collision.
- Officials said one person was taken to hospital with minor injuries. It wasn’t disclosed if they were a driver or a passenger.
- The highway was briefly closed for the investigation and clean up.

OPP said the operator of the white pickup truck has been charged with careless driving.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on the collision, including cellphone or dashcam footage, to contact them.
