List of Statutory Holidays in P.E.I. in 2025

The following is a comprehensive list of the eight statutory holidays in Prince Edward Island, and when they take place in 2025. These are dates where employees are entitled to a day off work with stat holiday pay in P.E.I.

Optional 2025 P.E.I. Stat Holidays

In addition to the official statutory holidays, there are a few days in 2025 that are recognized as “optional” holidays in P.E.I. for provincially regulated employees. These days are not mandated as paid days off, but employers may choose to observe them:

• Easter Monday: April 21, Monday
• Victoria Day: May 19, Monday
• Civic Holiday: August 4, Monday
• Thanksgiving Day: October 13, Monday
• Boxing Day: December 26, Friday
