Parkland Layoffs: Company cuts 100 jobs, outsources IT roles to Accenture
What’s happening at Parkland?
Parkland Corporation is laying off 100 corporate employees, with 80 positions affected in its IT department, as it transitions its IT operations to Accenture in early 2025.
Approximately 20 Parkland IT employees will move to Accenture, while the remaining staff will be let go as part of the shift. Parkland’s leadership, including CIO Pierre Costa and VP of Communications Simon Scott, stated that the move is focused on enhancing the company’s technical capabilities rather than cutting costs.
Executives noted that while Parkland has conducted significant layoffs recently—cutting more than 300 U.S. employees since early 2023—this IT restructuring is intended to improve IT support, not reduce expenses.
