After axing several hundred positions in March 2026, Meta is reportedly planning to eliminate around 200 roles in May.

Talk of deeper job cuts come as the tech giant claims it’s “finding other opportunities” for staff impacted by recent layoffs.

Impact on Canadian Staff

It remains unclear if any Canadian employees at Meta will be affected by the May workforce reduction.

According to LinkedIn, the company currently employs more than 1,100 workers in the country.
