End of an Era: Mandarin Closing Yonge and Eglinton Restaurant After 35 Years
What’s Happening at Mandarin?
Mandarin, the popular buffet restaurant chain, is closing its Yonge and Eglinton location after 35 years.
“Due to area redevelopment [in midtown Toronto], the [restaurant] will be permanently closing,” management said in a statement.
A fixture in the neighbourhood since 1991, the restaurant’s historic run is scheduled to come to an end on Jan. 18, 2025.
The company didn’t indicate whether it plans to reopen elsewhere in midtown Toronto.
