Machine operator critical following Hwy. 403 crash in Burlington
Incident details
A machine operator has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision on highway 403 in Burlington.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) closed all eastbound lanes of the highway at Waterdown Road. The eastbound on-ramp was also closed.
- Officials told CHCH News that an individual was working on a piece of machinery under the bridge before a vehicle entered the construction area around 4 a.m. ET and hit the equipment.
- The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Investigation updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
