London man arrested after hit-and-run crash leaves three trapped in Woodstock

A hit-and-run incident occurred in Woodstock on Monday, involving a black Volkswagen Jetta and a grey Nissan. The crash took place around 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of Dundas Street and Waterloo Street.
- According to police reports, the Volkswagen failed to stop at the intersection, colliding with the Nissan, which overturned and trapped its occupants.
- Woodstock fire and emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, where three individuals were trapped inside the grey Nissan after it had rolled onto its side.
- Emergency crews were able to safely extract the occupants, who were treated by Oxford County paramedics for minor injuries.
Investigation updates
Following the crash, police received additional complaints of a black Volkswagen Jetta driving westbound on Highway 2 towards London. With assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and London Police Service, a 23-year-old man from London was located and arrested. He is facing charges of dangerous driving and failing to stop after an accident.
