London Machinery Reportedly Cutting 50 Jobs, Shifting Work to Iowa Plant

What’s Happening at London Machinery?

London Machinery is reportedly cutting 50 jobs in London, Ont. and shifting work to its facility in Iowa.

President Robert Monchamp said the company must “adjust to a new reality” caused by enhanced US duties on Canadian goods.


Which Roles at London Machinery are Affected?

It remains unclear if both unionized and non-unionized employees at London Machinery are affected.

The plant on Robins Hill Road in the city’s east end currently employs around 200 workers.
