LifeLabs No Longer Exiting Sudbury in 2026, Cutting Staff in Half
What’s Happening at LifeLabs?
LifeLabs is no longer planning to close its lab in Sudbury, Ont. Instead, the company will reportedly cut its 40-person local workforce in half.
“[We’re] committed to supporting affected employees with care, respect, and clear communication,” LifeLabs said in a statement.
“[We’ll] also be hiring for roles within the dedicated Sudbury laboratory, with current employees prioritized as candidates, providing opportunities to remain part of LifeLabs in the region.”
The facility was scheduled to close on May 17, 2026.
