• Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said emergency crews responded to reports of a crash in the eastbound express lanes of the highway near Renforth Drive — west of Highway 427 — before 4am ET on Aug. 25.
• 2 people were taken to hospital with undisclosed injures.
• Eastbound express lanes on Highway 401 near Renforth Drive reportedly reopened before 6am ET on Aug. 25.
