Service Truck Driver Hurt After Tractor-Trailer Crash on Hwy. 400 in Vaughan

On Sept. 2, 2025, a service truck driver was taken to hospital following a collision with a tractor-trailer on Highway 400 in Vaughan.

What Happened?
- The incident took place in the northbound lanes of the highway near Major Mackenzie Drive before 5pm ET on Sept. 2.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the driver of the service truck, a man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
- No injuries were reported for the driver of the tractor-trailer.
- All northbound ramps to Highway 400 from Major Mackenzie Drive and Rutherford Road were temporarily closed. Traffic was also diverted off the highway at Rutherford Road.

Investigation Updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
