3 Dead, 1 Hospitalized Following Hwy. 11 Crash Northwest of Timmins

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer on Highway 11 northwest of Timmins on Dec. 21, 2025.

What Happened?

• The incident took place around 12:30am ET on Dec. 21 — causing closures across the highway from Longlac to Cochrane.
• According to OPP, the 3 passengers in the pickup truck, aged 41, 15, and 12, were pronounced dead.
• The driver of the pickup truck, a 41-year-old, was rushed to hospital. Their condition isn’t considered life-threatening.
• No injuries were reported for the driver of the tractor-trailer.

The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
