An SUV driver has been pronounced dead following a collision with a tractor-trailer on Highway 11 near Longlac — a community northeast of Thunder Bay — on Sept. 26, 2025.

• The incident reportedly took place on the highway between Longlac and Beardmore in the evening on Sept. 26.
• According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the driver of the SUV, a 28-year-old woman from Longlac, was pronounced dead at the scene.
• No injuries were reported for the driver of the tractor-trailer.
• Highway 11 fully reopened between Longlac and Beardmore just after 11am ET on Sept. 27.
