SUV Driver, 28, Dead After Hwy. 11 Tractor-Trailer Crash Northeast of Thunder Bay

An SUV driver has been pronounced dead following a collision with a tractor-trailer on Highway 11 near Longlac — a community northeast of Thunder Bay — on Sept. 26, 2025.

What Happened?
- The incident reportedly took place on the highway between Longlac and Beardmore in the evening on Sept. 26.
- According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the driver of the SUV, a 28-year-old woman from Longlac, was pronounced dead at the scene.
- No injuries were reported for the driver of the tractor-trailer.
- Highway 11 fully reopened between Longlac and Beardmore just after 11am ET on Sept. 27.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
