What’s Happening at Humber Polytechnic?

Humber Polytechnic will reduce its workforce after participation in its Voluntary Employee Exit Program (VEEP) fell short.

“[Despite strong participation, the VEEP] did not fully address the projected fiscal gap for 2026–27. As a result, we must still proceed with involuntary employee reductions,” Ann Marie Vaughan, president and CEO of the Toronto-based college, said in a statement on March 24, 2026.

While the exact number of positions being eliminated remains unclear, an interim executive structure will come into effect on March 30.
