What’s going on at Hudson’s Bay?

Hudson’s Bay has eliminated approximately 41 roles to kick off 2025.

Charla Parkinson, a spokesperson for the department store chain, told The Canadian Press that the workforce reduction comes as the retail industry grapples with “challenging headwinds.”

Parkinson declined to provide details on the roles and locations affected by the job cuts.

The update comes after Hudson’s Bay scaled back its staffing levels in the summer, when it prepared to spin out some of its brands into a new entity called Saks Global.
