Heather Reisman leaving Indigo, director resigns over ‘mistreatment’
Indigo Books and Music has announced the retirement of its founder, Heather Reisman, from her positions as executive chair and director this summer. Her departure will take effect on August 22.
What happened: Alongside Reisman, four other members of the board have also stepped down.
- The company said that director Chika Stacy Oriuwa resigned due to a loss of confidence in board leadership and mistreatment.
- Frank Clegg, Howard Grosfield, and Anne Marie O’Donovan have also departed as directors, although no specific reasons were provided for their departures.
- Indigo expressed gratitude for the departing directors’ contributions and extended well wishes.
Previously at Indigo: Last year, Reisman stepped down as the chief executive of Indigo
- Peter Ruis, the retailer’s former president, was promoted to chief executive.
