Niagara police have laid charges after a Honda CRV and a GO bus collided near Playtopia St. Catharines on March 22, 2026.

  • The incident took place in the area of North Service Road and YMCA Drive — near the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW).
  • According to officials, the Honda CRV was travelling northbound when it crossed into the southbound lanes and slammed into the GO bus.
  • The driver of the GO bus, 5 adult passengers, and a baby were taken to hospital with minor injuries.


Investigation Updates

The driver of the Honda CRV, a 56-year-old man from Omemee, is facing impaired driving charges. He’s been released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
