Four-vehicle crash on Hwy. 12 in Tay Township leads to charges

Incident details

A four-vehicle collision occurred around 3:12 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Fraser Lane and Highway 12 in Tay Township. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Southern Georgian Bay detachment, Tay Township Fire Service, and County of Simcoe Paramedics responded to the scene.

One driver was triaged at the scene by paramedics and subsequently transported to a local hospital. Fortunately, their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Investigation updates

As of now, a 39-year-old resident of Tiny Township has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act. The investigation into the exact cause of the collision remains ongoing, and further details will be provided by the Southern Georgian Bay OPP as they become available.
