OPP Investigating Fiery Multi-Vehicle Hwy. 400 Crash Near King City

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 400 near King City on Dec. 28, 2025.

What Happened?

• The incident took place in the northbound lanes of the highway near King Road before 1:30pm ET on Dec. 28.
• Video shared on social media shows an SUV with its front engulfed in flames. Other involved vehicles pulled over on the right shoulder.
• No injuries have been reported at this time. The exact number of vehicles involved in the crash remains unknown.
• All northbound lanes of Highway 400 were temporarily closed from from Teston Road to Lloydtown-Aurora Road.

Investigation Updates

The cause of the multi-vehicle collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
