62-Year-Old Dead, Struck by Vehicles Near Paterson Park in Windsor

A pedestrian has been pronounced dead in hospital after being struck by 2 vehicles near Paterson Park in Windsor’s west end on Oct. 12, 2025.

What Happened?
- The incident took place on Sandwich Street between Detroit Street and Mill Street just after 8pm ET on Oct. 12.
- According to Windsor police, the pedestrian — a 62-year-old man — was struck by a vehicle around the 3100 block of Sandwich Street. The force of the impact launched him into the opposite lane, where he was hit by a second vehicle.
- The pedestrian was rushed to hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
- Both drivers remained at the scene.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
