Woman, 78, Dead After Being Struck by TTC Bus at Royal York Station

A 78-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) bus at Royal York station in Etobicoke on Oct. 6, 2025.

What Happened?
- According to Toronto police, the woman was trying to board a TTC bus at the station — located near Bloor Street West and Royal York Road — around 1:15pm ET on Oct. 6.
- Officials claim the individual fell while the TTC bus pulled away — resulting in her becoming pinned under the vehicle.
- Life-saving measures were performed on the woman. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
