Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision involving a school bus on Highway 401 in London on Nov. 2, 2025.

What Happened?

• The incident took place in the westbound lanes of the highway near Veterans Memorial Parkway around 9:40am ET on Nov. 2.
• According to OPP, the school bus — transporting dozens of students from Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational School — was heading to Point Pelee National Park when it left the roadway and ended up in a ditch.
• The driver of the school bus, a 52-year-old man from Kitchener, was pronounced dead at the scene.
• 4 students were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
