A 67-year-old man is dead and 4 people have been taken to hospital after a grey crossover crashed into a business in North York on Dec. 24, 2025.

What Happened?

• The incident took place just south of Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue West before 2:30pm ET on Dec. 24.
• According to Toronto police, the driver, a 93-year-old male, lost control of his grey crossover “for unknown reasons” and drove into a storefront — striking 6 people who were inside the business at the time.
• One of the pedestrians struck, a 67-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
• The driver of the grey crossover, his female passenger, and 2 women who were inside the business were taken to hospital. None of their injuries are considered life-threatening.

Investigation Updates

The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation.
