2 Dead, 1 Critical Following Tractor-Trailer Crash on Hwy. 400 in Vaughan
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision involving a ride-sharing vehicle and a tractor-trailer on Highway 400 in Vaughan on Dec. 7, 2025.

What Happened?
- The incident took place in the northbound lanes of the highway approaching Teston Road around 3:45am ET on Dec. 7.
- According to OPP, the driver of the ride-sharing vehicle, a 50-year-old man from Toronto, has been rushed to a trauma centre in critical condition. His 2 rear passengers — 30-year-old men from Bradford — were pronounced dead at the scene.
- No injuries were reported for the driver of the tractor-trailer.

Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said officials believe the driver of the ride-sharing vehicle “possibly” lost control while trying to exit Highway 400 at Teston Road.
