50-year-old dead after e-bike, Buick Encore collide in Oshawa

Incident details
Durham police are investigating a fatal collision involving an e-bike and a Buick Encore in Oshawa.
“[At approximately 12:30 p.m. ET on May 25], members from Central East Division responded to a report of a collision at Harmony Road North and Storie Avenue,” officials said in a news release.
“A southbound e-bike and a northbound Buick Encore, which was making a left-hand turn, collided. A 50-year-old male e-bike rider sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at a local area hospital.”
No injuries were reported for the driver of the Buick Encore.
Investigation updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
