3 Dead, 2 Hurt After Multi-Vehicle Hwy. 7 Collision West of Peterborough

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal crash involving 4 motorcycles and a passenger vehicle on Highway 7, west of Peterborough, on June 6, 2026.

What Happened?

• The incident took place at the intersection of Highway 7 and Heights Road around 6pm ET on June 6.
• As of June 8, the driver of the passenger vehicle — an 18-year-old man from Peterborough — and 2 of the motorcyclists have been pronounced dead.
• 1 of the surviving motorcyclists, a 30-year-old man from Sudbury, remains at a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious condition. The other surviving motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man from Sudbury, was treated for his injuries at the scene and released.

Investigation Updates

The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
