3 Dead, 2 Hurt After Multi-Vehicle Hwy. 7 Collision West of Peterborough
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal crash involving 4 motorcycles and a passenger vehicle on Highway 7, west of Peterborough, on June 6, 2026.
What Happened?
- The incident took place at the intersection of Highway 7 and Heights Road around 6pm ET on June 6.
- As of June 8, the driver of the passenger vehicle — an 18-year-old man from Peterborough — and 2 of the motorcyclists have been pronounced dead.
- 1 of the surviving motorcyclists, a 30-year-old man from Sudbury, remains at a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious condition. The other surviving motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man from Sudbury, was treated for his injuries at the scene and released.

The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
