Teen Dead, 2 Hurt Following Single-Vehicle Crash West of Ottawa

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges following a fatal single-vehicle crash near Pakenham — a community west of Ottawa — on Dec. 15, 2025.

What Happened?

• The incident took place on 8th Concession South Pakenham near Cedar Hill Side Road before midnight on Dec. 15.
• According to OPP, the driver — a 17-year-old — and 1 passenger got out of the crashed car. Mississippi Mills firefighters were required to free the other passenger.
• The trapped passenger, an 18-year-old man from Mississippi Mills, succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead.
• The driver and the other passenger suffered minor injuries.

Investigation Updates

OPP have charged the operator of the vehicle, who’s expected to appear in court in January, with:

• Impaired driving causing death
• Impaired driving causing bodily harm
• Impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit
