1 Dead, 1 Hurt After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Sudbury’s Lasalle Extension

Incident Details
The Greater Sudbury Police Service is investigating a fatal collision involving 3 vehicles on the Lasalle Extension.
- The incident took place on the extension between Frood Road and Elm Street around 6:15am ET on June 17.
- “Based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed that a Blue Dodge Caravan was travelling westbound on the Lasalle Extension when it collided with a Black Dodge Dart and a Grey Ford F-150 [pickup truck], both travelling eastbound,” officials said in a news release.
- The driver of the Black Dodge Dart, a 44-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
- The driver of the Blue Dodge Caravan, a 43-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Their condition isn’t considered life-threatening.
- No injuries were reported for the driver of the Grey Ford F-150 pickup truck.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
