1 Dead, 3 Hurt Following Multi-Vehicle Collision Southwest of Brantford

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision involving a sedan, SUV, and a cement truck near Simcoe — a community southwest of Brantford — on Oct. 15, 2025.

What Happened?

• The incident took place around Concession 13 Townsend and Blueline Road just after 3pm ET on Oct. 15.
• “The driver of the SUV, a 79-year-old resident of Norfolk County, sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” OPP said in a news release.
• The driver of the cement truck and the 2 occupants of the sedan were taken to hospital with “undetermined injuries.”

Investigation Updates

The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
