Ericsson is eliminating approximately 100 technical employees in Canada — citing a need to streamline costs and a broader strategy to consolidate its global workforce.
“Ericsson remains committed to our ongoing investment in our Canadian operations and serving our customers,” spokesperson Nathan Gibson told The Globe and Mail.
Affected staff, who previously worked for Rogers Communications, were reportedly informed that their final work day will be Oct. 31.
