Is Deloitte Planning to Reduce Paid Parental Leave?

Yes — Deloitte is reportedly looking at reducing the amount of paid parental leave it offers for certain workers, starting in Jan. 2027.

The bombshell update comes as other major employers, including Zoom, have already trimmed this key benefit for birthing and non-birthing parents.

Which Roles at Deloitte are Affected?

Deloitte’s reduced parental leave benefits are expected to affect:

  • Support roles (i.e. administrative services and information technology)
  • Members of the finance department

The potential move comes at a time when employers have been prioritizing measurable results over loyalty, raising performance expectations, and tracking AI usage among staff.
