SUV Driver, 47, Charged Following Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Oakville
Halton police have laid charges following a fatal pedestrian collision involving an SUV in Oakville on Nov. 6, 2025.

What Happened?
- According to officials, an SUV was travelling westbound on North Service Road West, west of Lindsay Drive, when the vehicle left the roadway just before 4pm ET on Nov. 6 — striking a 39-year-old woman and her 8-year-old daughter.
- Both pedestrians were rushed to trauma centres. Unfortunately, the child succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
- The mother’s injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.
- Investigators believe the mother was on her way to a nearby daycare to pick up another child.

The driver of the SUV, a 47-year-old man, has been charged with “dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death.”
