What Happened

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Friday, a vehicle travelling eastbound on John Laurie Boulevard NW rear-ended a truck ahead of it in the same lane.

• The force of the impact pushed the truck across the centre median
• The truck entered the westbound lanes, and struck an SUV head-on
• All drivers remained at the scene and were taken to hospital with minor injuries

Road Closures and Investigation

CityNews reports that Calgary police closed off parts of John Laurie Boulevard NW near 14 Street NW while investigators examined the scene and crews cleared debris. The road has since reopened to traffic.
