What Happened

Toronto Police say the collision occurred just before 1 p.m. on the raised LRT platform west of Pharmacy Avenue along Eglinton Avenue East.

According to police and paramedics:

• The woman was standing on the platform before crossing into the path of a westbound LRT test vehicle.
• She was rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
• The LRT operator honked the horn and slowed before the impact.
