B.C pharmacist sues for dismissal over vaccine policy: Vancouver Sun

A staff pharmacist in Vancouver is suing her former employer as she was terminated due to a mandatory vaccination policy. Lina Reid was placed on an unpaid leave of absence due to her vaccination status.

A B.C. employment lawyer at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP spoke to the Vancouver Sun regarding his client’s wrongful dismissal suit.

The lawyer declined to provide a reason for his client refusing vaccination but insists it is not relevant. “Ultimately the reasoning behind it is kind of immaterial to the analysis,” the lawyer explained.

The lawyer stated that Samfiru Tumarkin has a number of other similar lawsuits across Canada but there does not appear to be any court decisions of yet regarding this issue.
