6 People Hurt After White Van, Truck Collide Northwest of Guelph
Incident Details
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges following a serious head-on collision near Arthur — a township northwest of Guelph.
- Emergency crews responded to reports of a crash involving a white van and a truck on Wellington Road 109 between Sideroad 17 and Charles Street West just after 7pm ET on July 14.
- According to OPP, 4 people were in the white van and 2 people were in the truck. All 6 individuals suffered injuries ranging from minor to “life-altering.”
- Wellington Road 109 between Sideroad 17 and Charles Street West was closed for several hours.

Investigation Updates
The operator of the white van, a 36-year-old man from Brampton, has been charged with:
- Careless driving causing bodily harm
- Failure to share half the roadway for a meeting vehicle
He’s expected to appear in a Guelph courtroom at a later date.
