Four adults and a child have been rushed to hospital following a head-on collision near Evergold Centre in Scarborough.

• Toronto police said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the incident, involving two vehicles, took place in the area of McNicoll Avenue and Midland Avenue before 4:30 p.m. ET on April 24.
• In an update before 7 p.m. ET, officials claim that one of the individual’s injuries were upgraded to life-threatening.
• A photo of the scene shows significant front-end damage to two dark-coloured vehicles.
• Roads in the area were closed for several hours.
