2 people hurt after Ford Escape and school bus collide in Lincoln
Incident details
Charges have been laid following a head-on collision involving a grey Ford Escape and school bus in Lincoln.
The incident took place in the area of Fly Road and Walker Road shortly after 6 p.m. ET on Dec. 2.
- According to Niagara police, the school bus ended up in the ditch on the north side of Fly Road. As for the Ford Escape, it was in a field on the south side of the road.
- No children were on the school bus at the time of the collision.
- The driver of the school bus, a 42-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
- The driver of the Ford Escape, a 29-year-old man, was transported to an out-of-region hospital. His injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.
Investigation updates
The operator of the Ford Escape was charged with dangerous and impaired driving at the hospital.
He’s scheduled to appear in front of a judge on Jan. 3 in St. Catharines.
