1 dead, 3 hurt after single-vehicle Hwy. 402 crash west of London
Incident details
One person is dead and three people are hurt following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 402 outside of London.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the incident took place west of Glendon Drive around 2:40 a.m. ET on Dec. 29.
- A 20-year-old man from Sarnia was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s unclear if he was the driver of the vehicle.
- Three other individuals were taken to hospital. Their injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.
- Westbound lanes of Highway 402 were temporarily closed between Glendon Drive and Hickory Drive in Strathroy.
Investigation updates
The cause of the single-vehicle crash remains under investigation.
Anyone with information on the incident, including cellphone or dashcam footage, is asked to contact the OPP.
