What Happened at NextStar?
NextStar Energy (NextStar) reportedly asked nearly 200 Sylvan Canada workers on June 26 to “immediately demobilize” from its electric vehicle (EV) battery facility in Windsor, Ontario.
Eric Farron, vice president of operations at the contractor, told CBC News that affected staff include:

- 3 pipe fitters
Mike Meloche, business agent for UA Local 527, claimed some workers were told to return to the plant on July 2.
