Langara College is reportedly planning to cut 200 instructors ahead of the Fall 2025 semester.
The move, influenced by a significant decline in international student enrolment, affects both temporary and permanent positions.
“Earlier this year, 21 of our permanent faculty members received layoff notices,” the Vancouver-based educational institution said in a statement to CityNews.
The modern languages department has already been hit hard — with six faculty members being informed that they’re being let go.
