Show Notes
- Suffered brain injury after a vehicle accident leads to reduced work hours of spouse: It is important to remember that despite not being the injured individual as a result of an accident, there are other caregivers involved. In Ontario under the Family Law Act, family members are able to claim financial losses and expenses from the individual responsible for the vehicle accident. The at-fault party’s insurance company should be paying for losses.
- Using experts to build up a serious injury case: Many lawyers represent seriously injured individuals ineffectively. It is important to hire the appropriate experts involved in a serious injury. There are many expenses involved that must be appropriately calculated.
- Hiring the right lawyer in filing a personal injury or disability claim: It is not appropriate for the right disability lawyer to be not responsive to claimants or behave in a bullying or abusive manner. Claimants should be kept up to date by their legal representation throughout the process and treated with respect.
