Taking kids to work during teachers strike – CP24

All four of Ontario’s major teacher unions will soon be holding weekly strikes after the group representing instructors in the French school system announced its intention to escalate its job actions against the provincial government.

Working parents across the province are scrambling to find daycare or other childcare options for their young children. Some may be asking their employer for permission to bring their kids to work. Others may attempt to work from home while tending to their offspring.

Jon Pinkus is an employment lawyer and partner at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP. He joined Live At Noon on CP24 to discuss an employee’s rights to bring their children to work during a strike.
