Walmart is planning to cut — or relocate — approximately 1,000 corporate roles in 2026.

Sources told The Wall Street Journal that the retail giant is looking to combine more of its global technology and product teams.

Impact on Canadian Staff

It remains unclear if any corporate employees at Walmart Canada have been let go or instructed to relocate.

According to LinkedIn, the company currently has more than 18,500 workers in the country.
