Is Disney Cutting Jobs in 2026?

Yes. Disney is reportedly planning to eliminate as many as 1,000 roles — with the Marketing department expected to be heavily impacted.

The latest cost-cutting initiative comes just weeks after Josh D’Amaro took over as CEO of the entertainment giant.


Impact on Canadian Staff

It’s unclear if any Canadian employees at Disney are being let go.

According to LinkedIn, the company currently has more than 580 workers in the country.
