State Farm Facing Discrimination Lawsuit, Allegedly Fired Staffer on LTD
What’s Happening at State Farm?
A former automobile accident claims adjuster at State Farm is suing the insurer — alleging that she was fired while on long-term disability (LTD).
Prior to transitioning from short-term disability (STD) to LTD for mental health-related reasons on Jan. 25, 2025, Sabrina Wiley claims that she was assured her job wasn’t in jeopardy. However, just 1 month later, she received an email from her supervisor, informing her that her employment had been terminated.
Wiley is seeking damages for:
- Disability-based discrimination
- A hostile work environment
- Retaliation by her employer
State Farm hasn’t responded to the allegations, which haven’t been proven in court at this time.
