The workforce reduction comes on the heels of CTO Elizabeth Stone being promoted to chief product and technology officer on Feb. 2, 2026.

The latest round of job cuts at the streaming giant reportedly affects:
- Admin divisions
- Middle management
It remains unclear if Canadian workers are being let go. Netflix currently employs more than 350 people in the country, according to LinkedIn.
