48-Year-Old Hawkesbury Man Dead, Struck by Vehicle East of Ottawa
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred between Ottawa and Hawkesbury on Dec. 26, 2025.
What Happened?
- Emergency crews responded to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a passenger vehicle on County Road 17 in the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet before 8pm ET on Dec. 26.
- The pedestrian, a 48-year-old man from Hawkesbury, was rushed to hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead.
- The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
