61-Year-Old Man Dead After Volkswagen, Honda Collide in Markham

York police are investigating a fatal head-on collision involving a Volkswagen and a Honda in Markham’s east end on Nov. 10, 2025.

What Happened?

• The incident took place on Reesor Road and 16th Avenue, just east of Donald Cousens Parkway, before 6pm ET on Nov. 10.
• According to officials, both drivers were rushed to hospital.
• One of the drivers, a 61-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The other driver, a 50-year-old man, remains in serious condition.
• Police didn’t disclose which vehicle was operated by the deceased.
