What’s Happening at Rivian?

After eliminating around 1.5% of its workforce in September, Rivian is pulling out the axe again.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the electric-truck maker plans to cut more than 600 positions (approximately 4% of current staff) amid a pullback in electric vehicle (EV) policies.

The workforce reductions come as Rivian was preparing to launch a more affordable sport-utility vehicle in 2026.

Impact on Canadian Staff

It remains unclear if any Canadian employees at Rivian are being let go.

According to LinkedIn, the company currently has more than 170 workers in the country.
